Hybrid Sensing/Database Approach to Detect White Spaces for Vehicular Communication

アブストラクト
  Nowadays, vehicles which can communicate with other objects (vehicular communication), are expected to produce safety driving. In this study, cognitive radio technology is applied to vehicular communication. Although this technique consists of much elemental technology, one of the main elements is how to grasp White spaces. Two sorts of method have been proposed: white space database use or sensing use. However, these methods have a trade-off relation between their available communication duration and location area. Therefore, in this paper, we propose hybrid database/sensing approach and evaluate its communication performance through simulation experiment.
